Bob Sauer-Jones, a NYS licensed guide, (license #2708), was born in the catskill Mountains.  He has been hunting and fishing since he was "knee high to a grasshoppper" and has spent his lifetime learning about the habits and patterns of aquatic and wildlife in New york State. An avid fly fisherman, Bob ties his own flies and enjoys the sport of fishing for the native trout found in the Adirondack lakes, ponds, streams and rivers. Bob strongly supports the catch and release program.  Well versed in spin and fly fishing, Bob will offer a variety of fishing experiences based on the client's expectations.  Through the Department of Environmental Conservation licensing requirements, Bob Sauer-Jones is certified as a professional guide. Also certified in the American Red Cross first aid safety, CPR, water safety and wilderness survival safety, Bob is ready to take his life-time love of the outdoors and share it with you.
Jacob, an avid hunter and fisherman, is a recent graduate from SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) with a BS in wildlife science. Jacob is also a licensed NYS guide (license #4942) who has worked with Outback Outfitters while in college. He has learned from who he thinks is the most knowledgeable outdoorsmen there is, his father Bob Sauer-Jones. Since he was old enough to hold a fishing pole he has been eagerly fishing. Jake is always eagerly exploring the adirondacks and finding new areas to fish, camp and hike. While studying at ESF Jacob took a couple of classes in environmental interpretation as well as many wildlife classes. This has helped him in finding the best ways to teach his clients all about nature and the species you may be fishing for. He is ready for you to join him in the outdoors so he can share this knowledge with you.
